Privacy Policy AEP

General

In this policy, the words "we," "our," and "us" refer to “AEP - ARVO Education Press”, and the privacy mechanism outlined identifies personally identifiable or personal information that may be collected, how such information is used, and the choices you have regarding our use of this information.

In addition to the terms stated in the Terms of Service, we are committed to protecting your privacy. Authorized representatives of “AEP”, on a need-to-know basis, only use any information received from you. We constantly review our systems and data to secure your personal information. We will investigate any complaint or such actions with a view to prosecuting and/or taking civil proceedings to recover damages against those responsible.

Any user who does not agree with any provisions of this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service is required to leave the Platform immediately. Should you disagree with this Policy (defined below) and still continue to access the Platform and provide your personal information, AEP disclaims all the liabilities arising therefrom, and it shall be assumed by your continued use of the Platform that you have accepted the Policy and any other online terms and conditions available on the Platform.

This privacy policy (“Policy”) applies to all Users who access the Platform and are therefore required to read and understand the Policy before submitting any Personal Information (defined hereinafter).

If you have inadvertently submitted any Personal Information to AEP prior to reading the Policy statements set out herein, and you do not agree with the manner in which the Personal Information is collected, stored, or used, then you may access, modify, and delete all information stored about you by writing to us at support@arvo.com.pk.

AEP is keeping personal data of the User, and every User is also entitled to require AEP to delete and destroy all such information (but not that of other Users). This Policy applies to the Platform and any other services that are owned and operated by AEP. Third-party websites may place their own cookies or other files on the Users' computer, collect data, or solicit personal information from the Users, for which AEP is not responsible or liable.

Accordingly, AEP does not make any representations concerning the privacy practices or policies of such third parties or terms of use of such websites, nor does AEP guarantee the accuracy, integrity, or quality of the information, data, text, software, sound, photographs, graphics, videos, messages, or other materials available on such websites. The inclusion or exclusion does not imply any endorsement by AEP of the website, the website's provider, or the information on the website. AEP encourages the User to read the privacy policies of such websites. AEP has taken all reasonable precautions to treat Personal Information as confidential, with industry standards that it has implemented to protect against unauthorized access, improper use or disclosure, modification, and unlawful destruction or accidental loss of the Personal Information.

Access

Users are allowed to access the Platform, join groups, and avail services available with AEP as a guest and without creating an account on the Platform or providing any Personal Information. AEP takes no responsibility or validates the information provided by the guest, except as otherwise required under any law, regulation, or an order of a competent authority.

In order to have access to all the features and benefits on our Platform, a User is required to first create an account on our Platform. To create an account, a User is required to provide Personal Information as may be required during the time of registration. Other information requested on the registration page, including the ability to receive promotional offers from AEP, is optional. AEP may, in the future, include other optional requests for information from the User to help AEP to customize the Platform to deliver personalized information to the User. Without the User's agreement, AEP will not share, rent, or sell any Personal Information with third parties in any way other than what is disclosed in this Policy. AEP may keep records of telephone calls received and made for making inquiries, registered courses, feedback, or other purposes for the purpose of rendering services effectively and efficiently.

Personal Information

“Personal Information” shall mean the information which identifies the User, name, identification number, email address, age, phone number, password, or any financial account information provided to AEP at the time of registration or any time thereafter.

Automatic Information Collection

Our app also collects information that is sent over the internet without your control. Some examples of the information we collect and analyze include:

• The Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the internet.
• Login details, email, and password.
• Computer and connection information such as browser type and version, operating system, and platform.
• History of groups enrolled, which we sometimes aggregate with similar information from other users to create features and reports (e.g., popular courses, most used features).
• The full Uniform Resource Locator (URL) clickstream to, through, and from our Platform, including date and time.
• Cookie number, courses, or videos you viewed or searched for, and the email ID used to contact customer service.
• Session information such as page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (e.g., scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page.

Information Security

To protect the security of your Personal Information during transmission, we use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input. To prevent unauthorized access to sensitive information, it is important for you to monitor those who have access to your password and your devices through which your account can be accessed. Be sure to sign off when finished while using a shared computer.

Use of Your Personal Information

While availing of our services, you provide access to AEP with your Personal Information. If that information is incorrect, you can request us to modify or delete it. AEP will take reasonable measures to ensure that the Personal Information is updated and used solely for rendering services to you in compliance with laws.

AEP may reject requests to modify or delete Personal Information if contrary to law or technically unfeasible. Residual copies and archives created by third parties beyond our control may persist. You may opt out of communications by writing to support@arvo.com.pk.

Exceptions

Your Personal Information may be shared with third parties if:

1. Required by law or in response to court orders.
2. Necessary to address fraud, security, or technical issues.
3. Needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of AEP, users, or the public as permitted by law.

User Choices

Users can opt out of marketing communications, direct mailers, or promotional offers via account settings or by contacting support@arvo.com.pk. Report violations or incidents by emailing support@arvo.com.pk.

Report, Analysis & Confidentiality

AEP may use Personal Information without reference to any specific persona or identity for research, statistical analysis, and business intelligence purposes. Such information may be aggregated or anonymized and shared with third parties or affiliates in a non-personally identifiable form. This helps improve the services offered and enhance user experience while maintaining user anonymity.

All AEP employees and data processors who have access to or are associated with the processing of sensitive personal data or information are obligated to maintain the confidentiality of each User's sensitive personal data and information. Strict confidentiality agreements are enforced to ensure data security and privacy at all times.

Sharing of Information

AEP may disclose or transfer the User's personal and other information, which the User provides, to third parties in the event of reorganization, merger, or sale of assets of AEP or its affiliated entities. Any third party to which AEP transfers or sells its assets will have the right to continue using the personal and other information provided by the User under the terms of this Policy.

To deliver services effectively, AEP may share User’s Personal Information with third-party contractors, affiliates, or service providers working on behalf of or with AEP. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Facilitating communication with Users.
• Maintaining and improving the Platform.
• Processing payments via online payment gateways.

While most contractors and service providers are restricted from sharing User information independently, certain service providers, such as payment gateways and online communication providers, may use and disclose Personal Information under their privacy policies. Users are encouraged to review the privacy policies of these third-party services when availing of them through AEP's Platform.

Revisions & Grievance Reporting

AEP reserves the right to update or amend this Policy at any time, with or without prior notice. In the event of significant changes in the way AEP handles Users' Personal Information, a prominent notice will be displayed on the Platform, or Users will be notified via email.

By continuing to use the Platform after such changes, Users consent to the updated Policy. If Users do not agree with any amendments, they have the option to refuse acceptance and request the deletion of their Personal Information by contacting support@arvo.com.pk.
